Congratulations are in order to my friends who have just had their first baby. What better way to celebrate than go and take some photographs of the happy family and their newborn baby daughter.

I was lucky enough to be able to photograph the last UK gig by band Supergrass at Londons Brixton Academy.
Supergrass are an English alternative rock band from Oxford. The band consists of brothers Gaz (guitar and lead vocals) and Rob Coombes (keyboards), Danny Goffey (drums and backing vocals), and Mick Quinn (bass and backing vocals).

I took a few days off in Wales to photograph Low Flying aircraft, however whilst sat on top of the hills it would have been criminal not to photography some landscapes.
This Corris Corner looking down on the lake – Tal Y Llyn
Tal-y-llyn Lake, also known as Talyllyn Lake or Llyn Mwyngil, is a large glacial ribbon lake formed by a post-glacial massive landslip damming up the lake within the glaciated valley. It is situated at the foot of Cadair Idris, in the Snowdonia mountain range of Gwynedd, Wales. The River Dysynni flows from the lake, through the village of Abergynolwyn, and discharges into the sea north of Tywyn
In the evening I visited Lake Vyrnwy and tried out some long exposures using Welding Glass in front of the lens to give the clouds some “movement”.
Lake Vyrnwy Nature Reserve and Estate (Llyn Efyrnwy) is an area of land in Powys, Wales, surrounding the Victorian reservoir of Lake Vyrnwy. Its stone-built dam, built in the 1880s, is the first of its kind in the world.
A barmy Friday night took me to Brixton to see Maxi Jazz, Sister Bliss and Rollo collectively known as dance act Faithless perform at the O2 Academy. The venue was Packed to the rafters and bouncing along to the beats.

Went out into Central London to try some light painting. So myself and a friend grabbed our tripods and LED lights and set off into London. As you can see you need to create a ball of light by swinging some LED’s around on a piece of wire. It takes practise to get the orbs to be circles but I was out tonight with someone who has this art down to a tee. Each exposure was typically 30-45seconds with the 3 orb photo being around 1minute 45seconds.
Its better to do this type of photography after dark so you get the definition of the LED’s lights. It really creates a mystical effect and something I hope to do again soon.
