Waxwings in the UK
One bird I have always wanted to photograph in the wild is the Waxwing (Bombycilla). I was lucky enough to capture these birds in Horwich and Bolton as they migrate from North Europe and Russia for the winter. The flock was over 70 strong throughout the day.

Hi, really great photos of the Waxwings in Horwich – that’s what I’m striving to get with mine but I’ve a lot to learn and I’m a very long way short of yours. Thanks for your comment on my blog – I’ve e-mailed you too and I’d be very grateful of a reply. Cheers.
in which the waxwings prove they don’t care what colour the rowan berries are! Wonderful photos of a wonderfl bird!
